The beginning... of something
Dylan Haskins, Lyndsay Copeland and Conor Lumsden have formed the Basta! youth collective, a newly founded organization to start a better future and support DIY media in their local areas of Wicklow and south Dublin.
Dylan has been organizng all sorts of events for ages now, including gigs, political protests, stencil art jams and more. He's 17 and lives in Wicklow Town.
Lyndsay is the gig person you could say, holding gigs very frequently for the last I'd say 18 months or more. She always has put on gigs in Greystones, including recently hosting american rockabilliers, The can kickers!!
Finally, Conor, from Shankill is the bassist in local punk band the spungos. His friendlieness and enthusiasm shows you don't have to be all psuedo intellectual to make a difference, this kids an example of that fact!
Togehter, the three can and have worked and done great things. So far there have been a good few gigs, all of which hosted great bands and were enjoying for all!
